I've been playing the piano for 36 years. From the age of 11 through 24 I played in rock bands. Some of my oldest friends and fans will remember the many years playing keyboards for, "The Force", then "Bang Theory," and then later, "No Right No Wrong." It was during this period, 1979 through 1991, that my interest in alternative 80s music began ( I had always been a Pink Floyd fan). I stopped playing in bands in 1991. By November of the same year I auditioned for Ken Weber at Weber's Restaurant and quickly moved from my previous position as a room service worker to my current position as the Dining Room Pianist. If I remember correctly within that same month of November someone asked me if I had a C.D. for sale. In total, I put my first CD off for a full 17 years. Why? I'm not really sure. I guess it was partly due to graduate school, then it was partly due to working full time at my day job as a psychologist. I would have to say the main reason this has taken so long is simply because until June of 2008 I didn't own a piano. I had promised so many people that I would complete this as soon as I bought a piano and I made good on that promise. After completing 17 years at Weber's Restaurant, I fulfilled my promise and released "18 Year Promise". Holiday Solos and Sing-a-longs was a Christmas release in 2010. "Tim Knapp Plays THE WALL," is my 2011 release. At this point there is no agenda for 2012's release. Have any ideas?
